Terms of Service

By purchasing a license or using the SolScribe service at app.solscribe.ai, you agree to these Terms.

1. License & Transcription Minutes

• Software License: A one-time fee grants you perpetual access to the SolScribe application. "Lifetime" means for as long as we operate the service; it does not include unlimited compute.
• Transcription Minutes: Cloud transcription and AI features consume pre-paid minutes, billed by the minutes of audio processed. Minutes never expire while your account is active and have no cash value.
• Refunds: The $49 software license is refundable within 14 days of purchase. Purchased minutes are non-refundable because compute incurs immediate hardware cost; poor-quality runs instead receive a 1:1 goodwill credit on your next purchase.

2. Auto-Recharge

You may optionally enable Auto-Recharge, authorizing us (via Stripe) to charge your saved payment method for a chosen minute pack when your balance falls below a threshold you set. You may disable it at any time in your billing dashboard.

3. Service Availability

SolScribe depends on third-party cloud GPU infrastructure. We provide the service "as available" and do not guarantee uninterrupted processing. No uptime SLA applies to standard tiers; any Enterprise service levels are set by separate written agreement.

4. Lawful Use & Consent

• You represent that you have all rights and consents required to record and transcribe the individuals in your audio, in compliance with applicable one-party or all-party consent laws.
• You will not upload unlawful content, including CSAM, or audio used to attack our infrastructure.
• Because of our zero-retention architecture we do not monitor your audio, but we may suspend accounts on automated abuse signals and report illegal activity.

5. AI Accuracy

SolScribe uses probabilistic speech-to-text that can produce errors or hallucinations. It is an assistive tool, not a substitute for human review. For medical, legal or published use you must independently verify transcripts. SolScribe accepts no liability for damages arising from transcript inaccuracies.

6. HIPAA & PHI

Only the $499 Compliance & Legal tier is authorized for PHI, and only after a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is executed with DST Digital LLC. The BAA is a separate signed document that governs PHI handling and controls over these Terms where they conflict on PHI. Using lower tiers for PHI is a breach of these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolScribe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including lost profits, data, or regulatory fines). For general-tier use, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to SolScribe in the 12 months preceding the claim. For the Compliance & Legal tier, our total liability shall not exceed the greater of that amount or US$50,000. These caps do not apply to SolScribe's breach of its confidentiality or Business Associate Agreement obligations caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Pricing Changes

We may change the per-minute price of future minute packs to reflect infrastructure costs. Already-purchased minutes retain their original minute value.

9. Governing Law

SolScribe is operated by DST Digital LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
